Our beginning

Built by two people who believed silk deserved better

Zartari Silks began in 2018 as a small boutique in Pune, built on a simple conviction: that the handwoven saree — patient, detailed and regional — deserved a home that understood its worth.

At its heart is a commitment to Maharashtrian culture. Every Paithani we sell and every zari border we source is part of an effort to keep this craft visible, valued and worn — not just preserved, but carried into everyday celebrations.
